What Do We Do?
Through selling memberships, spirit clothing, concessions and various social events each year, the Comet
Booster Club helps fund many of the athletic programs at CHS. BCPS budgets only a certain amount of
funding for athletics at all county schools. The Booster Club supplements the budgeted amount for athletics
at CHS, helping with all sports as much as possible.
The following are ways the Booster Club has helped over the past few years:
Through selling memberships, spirit clothing, concessions and various social events each year, the Comet
Booster Club helps fund many of the athletic programs at CHS. BCPS budgets only a certain amount of
funding for athletics at all county schools. The Booster Club supplements the budgeted amount for athletics
at CHS, helping with all sports as much as possible.
The following are ways the Booster Club has helped over the past few years:
- Contributed $10,000 towards the new scoreboard at Comet Park
- Helped pay for new uniforms for various teams (uniforms are purchased on a rotating basis
determined by the coaches and athletic director) - Supplied funding for Allied Bowling
- Purchased commemorative t-shirts for teams that won Regional Playoffs and County Championships
- Supplemented the overrun costs for buses to transport students to games and matches
- Purchased Varsity letters and pins
- Funded the awards for MVP and Unsung Hero for each JV and Varsity team
- Awarded scholarships (1 male, 1 female) to graduating senior athletes
- Worked toward improving the stadium field and facilities

legendary project! We have a beautiful new turf field and scoreboard and plans are underway for new and
improved bleachers to seat 2000 fans, a state of the art press box, restroom facilities and a new concession
stand.

- There are several types of memberships offered in The Comet Booster Club. As a member, you
receive free admission to all home games, for the type and season(s) of membership that you
select. Details can be found on our Membership Application or by contacting our Membership
Director.

- Purchase Catonsville Clothing pdf
- Volunteer to Work in the Concession Stand
- Attend our Social Events
- Attend our Meetings
